April 2024 – A little bit about our new Galley Team

Executive Chef, John Watson’s passion for food started in 2009 when he entered the industry as a Kitchen Hand. Since then, John has worked in several restaurants and cafes in Wellington, including the Executive Chef at Oceania Health Care.  John will say the main secret ingredient in his food is love.  Sonya’s experience and training while working at the Parkroyal Hotel has all come back to her after working in the Government Sector in Wellington. John and Sonya are very excited to be on board and in The Galley, delivering good clean food and great service to all members of the Waikanae Boating Club.
John and Sonya would like to thank everyone for their overwhelming support and welcome as they start this new adventure and are looking forward to meeting you all.

The Galley will be operating Thursday to Sunday 4pm to close.
